Competency Framework
You progress by proving competence, not by counting hours.
AquinTutor is competency-based. Rather than passively completing lectures, students advance by demonstrating real competencies across a blend of digital theory, hands-on practical training at partners, industry projects, community engagement, wellness and research. Each competency is assessed online, at a partner institution, or jointly by both.
The six progression dimensions
Online theory
Foundational knowledge through live and recorded classes, AI tutoring and assessments.
Partner practical
Hands-on competencies completed at accredited partner institutions.
Industry projects
Applied work with industry partners, open-source and real deliverables.
Community engagement
Service and contribution through community partners.
Sports & wellness
Physical, mental and social development through local wellness partners.
Research & innovation
Inquiry and innovation through research institutes and R&D.
How competencies are assessed
Online
Assessed digitally — proctored exams, projects, AI-assisted evaluation.
At partner
Assessed on-site by certified partner supervisors.
Joint
Assessed jointly by AquinTutor and the partner, competency-based.
Each program defines its own competencies against these dimensions. A learner's progress moves through not started → in progress → demonstrated → verified, with partner-assessed competencies verified by certified supervisors. Explore how any program is delivered from the degree catalog.
