Strategic Intelligence Intern
Strategic intelligence works on an eighteen to thirty-six month horizon: regulatory direction, technology trajectories, demographic and enrolment shifts, and what each would mean for us.
Engagement
Internship
Full-time and on-site at our campus. Structured, hands-on mentorship. Remote only in rare, pre-approved cases.
Scope of role
Contribute to live projects. Shadow senior practitioners. Build a portfolio that matters.
Please note this is an unpaid internship — the offer is real work, mentorship and experience at the frontier, not a stipend.
01 — The role
Why this role exists at EduRankAI
EduRankAI is developing next-generation technologies in Artificial Intelligence, Education Technology, Research, Product Engineering, and Digital Innovation. Strategic intelligence works on an eighteen to thirty-six month horizon: regulatory direction, technology trajectories, demographic and enrolment shifts, and what each would mean for us. It is not the daily executive briefing, which another role in this catalogue covers; here the output is written scenarios, early-warning indicators and the assumptions underneath them. You will define indicator sets that show when a scenario is becoming more likely, and revisit them on a schedule so change is noticed before it is obvious. Briefs are expected to state plainly what evidence would change our mind.
02 — The work
What you will own
- 01 Track regulatory consultations, policy drafts and standards work relevant to education, credentials and applied AI.
- 02 Maintain a small set of written scenarios for how our operating environment could develop, each with its assumptions named.
- 03 Define early-warning indicators for each scenario and report movement against them monthly.
- 04 Produce horizon-scanning notes on technology and demographic trends that distinguish evidence from extrapolation.
- 05 Challenge internal strategic assumptions in writing where the available evidence does not support them.
- 06 Maintain a register of institutions, journals, statistical releases and public datasets worth watching, pruning sources that go stale.
- 07 Prepare a quarterly strategic brief for the executive office, closing with the conditions that would falsify its conclusions.
