Own complex problems end-to-end. Set technical direction. Mentor mid and junior teammates.

Own the company's sustainability footprint — emissions, energy, supply chain, climate-risk disclosure. Both the numbers AND the reductions. The role exists because most "sustainability" claims do not survive expert review, and ours have to.
02 — The work
What you will own
- 01 Own Scope 1, 2, 3 emissions accounting + verification.
- 02 Run climate-risk scenario analysis (TCFD aligned).
- 03 Lead the net-zero / SBTi roadmap.
- 04 Coordinate with engineering on data-centre + cloud-footprint reductions (LLM training and inference included).
- 05 Author the climate section of the annual report.
- 06 Liaise with auditors and ratings agencies.

Who thrives here
- → You have authored or led at least one Scope 3 emissions inventory that was independently audited.
- → You have run a TCFD scenario analysis that produced specific operational changes.
- → You can defend a GHG number against a hostile auditor.
- → You have an opinion about the right way to account for LLM training and inference footprint, and you can defend it.
- → You write methodology notes that survive peer review.

No counted hours. A five-day week with a four-hour overlap window so colleagues can reach you, and objectives agreed for the cycle.

Where this stands legally
Hours are not counted at this level. The statutory ceiling of 9 hours a day and 48 a week remains the limit the role is designed to fit inside: if the work cannot be done within a normal week, the scope is wrong, not the person.
