Corporate Research Intern

Corporate research is due diligence on legal entities — who owns an organisation, who directs it, what it has filed, and whether anything already on the public record should give us pause before we sign an agreement with it.

01 — The role

Why this role exists at EduRankAI

EduRankAI is developing next-generation technologies in Artificial Intelligence, Education Technology, Research, Product Engineering, and Digital Innovation. Corporate research is due diligence on legal entities — who owns an organisation, who directs it, what it has filed, and whether anything already on the public record should give us pause before we sign an agreement with it. You will work with company registry filings, annual returns, charge and security registers, public litigation listings, and regulatory penalty orders. Every due-diligence pack states findings as facts with a filing reference attached, and keeps those facts visually separate from any interpretation you offer. Nothing in this role involves approaching the subject organisation or gathering information from anywhere other than records that are open to the public.

02 — The work

What you will own

  • 01 Prepare entity due-diligence packs on organisations we are considering contracting or partnering with.
  • 02 Trace ownership and directorship structures through registry filings, including holding and subsidiary relationships.
  • 03 Review annual returns and financial filings for signs of distress, registered charges, or unusual related-party activity.
  • 04 Search public litigation and regulatory penalty listings and summarise anything material to the proposed relationship.
  • 05 Separate verified fact from inference in every pack, and cite the filing reference behind each fact.
  • 06 Maintain a register of entities already researched, with the date each pack was prepared and by whom.
  • 07 Escalate findings that warrant legal or finance review rather than making the judgement call yourself.
  • 08 Maintain strict confidentiality on both the subjects and the outcomes of due-diligence work.
