Chief Marketplace Officer
Marketplace Strategy & Operations
Compensation

Engagement
Full-Time
Permanent role. Full-time commitment. Primarily on-site, with limited remote flexibility.
Scope of role
Build the function from zero. Set the strategy. Own the outcome.
01 — The role
Why this role exists at EduRankAI
Own the marketplace product end-to-end. Supply-side acquisition, demand-side product, take-rate strategy, unit economics, partnerships. You are responsible for whether the marketplace works as a business — not just whether it ships features. The role exists because marketplaces win or lose on operational discipline, not on technology. You will need both. You will hire VP-level leadership across supply, demand, fulfillment, and trust + safety, and you will own the GMV trajectory. You'll thrive here if: you have run a marketplace at scale and you can describe the load-bearing unit-economic decision you got right. You read cohort dashboards for sport. You know that "more supply" is not always the answer. You'll struggle here if: you have never had to choose between two cities. You think the model justifies the price. You manage by quarterly off-sites.
02 — The work
