Amplitudes are complex; bar length is probability |a|², colour is phase. A Bloch vector shorter than 1 means that qubit is entangled with the rest (its reduced state is mixed) — try the Bell preset and watch both spheres collapse to the centre while the two-qubit state stays perfectly correlated. Every number is a real statevector computation.
